Prom season will be here before you know it. This year, the 8th graders were invited to vote on their theme on the eighth-grade student information page. Our assistant principal, Mrs. Cooper, created a form with four choices. The options were Disney, Paris, Japan, and New York as the chosen themes. The 2025 prom theme was New York.
However, there was almost an issue when the votes were tied, and Mrs. Cooper was waiting for more votes to come in to see what would happen. This is very shocking news because the tie has “never happened in 4 years,” according to Assistant Principal Cooper. A decision was made to leave the voting survey open to allow more people to vote and break the tie. If there was still a tie, the principal or one of the assistant principals was going to break it.
The votes were soon in. Disney received 2%, and New York received 35.5%. The tie between Japan and Paris was broken, and A Night in Paris was the winner for prom. The vote resulted in the 8th grade senior prom theme being A Night in Paris on June 12, 2026. It costs $80 for the 8th graders to go to the prom. The final day of payment is June 1, 2026, in room 551.
