The sixth graders went on a two-day field trip on March 31 and April 1, 2026 to The Botanic Garden in New York. Classes 603, 604 and 606 went on March 31, while classes 601, 602 and 605 went on April 1. All classes traveled by bus and explored the garden with two teachers each.
The Botanic Garden has many different and unique things to look at, including flowers, trees and other plants, as well as statues and many awe-inspiring visions of the natural world! You can have a picnic on the field, walk around to cool yourself down, linger in the shade under the trees, and take some mesmerizing photos of natural beauty. During the field trip, students enjoyed seeing the cherry blossom trees, daffodils, tulips and koi fish in the pond.
Since the lunch seating area did not open until April 1, classes 603, 604 and 606 were unable to eat at the lunch area in the Botanic Garden outside! Thankfully, they were able to eat outside the lunch area on the nearby logs. Students who went on April 1 were able to eat inside the lunch area.
After lunch, it was almost time to leave the Botanic Garden. So by the time all the groups had walked back, most of the buses were already there to pick them up. Everyone had a fun time seeing the plants, and that’s what made everyone happy.
