Over the week, students responded to a survey about school lunches and what they would like to see changed. Many students shared mixed feelings about school lunches, with several saying only some tasted good.
Getting Others’ Opinions
Local student Alexandra Aslanova, grade 7 shared mixed feelings about school lunches, stating that the chicken tenders are superior to all the other lunch options. “The other school lunches don’t have enough variety. The school lunches are delicious most of the time, but some of the food is not as tasty as others. Personally, I really like the chicken tenders, so if they ever change the menu, I want them to stay.”
In addition to Alexandra’s opinion, another student had thoughts on the current lunch menu. Local student Antonio Chen, grade 7 explained that even though the school lunch is generally good, there are not enough choices and variety. “Lots of school lunches are tasty, but many are not as good as others.” Antonio also mentioned that many school lunch options are not very filling.
According to online sources, many teens find school lunches acceptable or good, while others prefer healthier or tastier options.
