When all schools had a snow day, PS/IS 206 took a survey of 6th-grade students in their Google classrooms. It turns out everyone had an amazing snow day. A traditional snow day hasn’t happened in about seven years. So the snow day was a historical event, which broke a tradition.
Most students wanted a traditional snow day, and it is safe to say that their wishes were granted! As shown in the graph, only around 10% of the students voted for the remote learning option, the rest of the people wanted a snow day for free time.
Here are some of the things that the students did during the snow day:
- A lot of people decided to play with the snow, they did things related to making snowmen, snowball fights, and making slides.
- People also enjoyed indoor activities such as watching shows and movies, using social media, playing video games, and just chilling at home.
- Some people had to do work to help their parents, like shoveling snow.
- Then some people chilled with some of their friends and interacted with their cousins.
