Coachella is an annual music festival where big artists perform their music and that many influencers and celebrities attend. This year was actually the 25th anniversary of the festival, and it took place in California overtwo weekends. Weekend 1 was April 10-12, and the second weekend was April 17-19. This year’s headliners included Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G. The second weekend introduced guest artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Madonna, J. Balvin, SZA, and Peso Pluma. Some performances also featured brand-new music, such as Olivia Rodrigo’s “drop dead” and Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna’s “Bring Your Love.” Tickets sold out at record-breaking prices. There were many highlights of the festival, like Justin Bieber’s performance, which went viral, and the fashion, which seemed to bring back 2016 trends.
Coachella also provides food, drinks and merchandise. However, many people say it is insanely overpriced. For example, it cost $41 to buy just two pizza slices and a Coca-Cola.
FUN FACT: Singer-songwriter SZA was rumored to have been offered at least six figures in case Justin Bieber bailed. However, she shut down those rumors.
Next year’s Coachella was just recently confirmed to take place on April 9-11, and April 16-18. Tickets are already available to purchase, though the headliners and performers have yet to be announced.
This year’s festival was a very special one, with viral moments, rumors and prices. How do you feel about this?
