Question: Artificial intelligence(AI)-Is it helpful or hurtful for students learning?
Reporters from The Lamb Lantern went around to the 206 community to get opinions.
“AI can build and AI can destroy; just like a hammer can be used to create or to damage.” – Mr. Polito, Social Studies Teacher
Mr.Polito says it depends on how the person uses Artificial Intelligence. For example, if the student uses AI for everything and they only depend on AI and don’t use their own knowledge to solve real life problems, that would be hurtful for learning. However, if they use it sometimes and use their own knowledge it would be helpful.

“It hurts them for a quick answer and to make and use them as a cheat to get a quick answer.” – Mr. Chase, Assistant Principal
“Because students can use AI to cheat. They can use it for their writing homework and to get answers.” – Samantha, 8th Grade
