In Journalism Club, you get to write all kinds of articles—reviews, interviews, opinion pieces, and more. It’s a great place to hang out with your friends and make new ones while working on stories together.
One of the best parts is that we don’t just write—we explore. You can go on trips, write about cool places you visit, and review books, activities, and even local stores.
We also get to interview people in our school and beyond. We’ve already interviewed Ms. Atlas, and we even spoke with Wendy Lu, an editor at The New York Times, during a video call. And that’s not all—our club meets and collaborates with journalism clubs from other middle schools across the city, giving us the chance to share ideas and learn from each other.
Plus, we have special guest visitors who teach us real skills in editing, photography, and photojournalism. You’ll learn how to take great photos, write stronger stories, and put together a newspaper like a pro.
If you want to write, explore, meet new people, and learn awesome journalism skills, then the Journalism Club is the perfect place for you! Come join us every Wednesday after school in room 514. See Ms. Bruno & Ms. Caputo for more information
